In addition to our retreat ministry, we also offer the following services as a ministry to the Church of Jesus Christ:

Follow-up

We assist our guests in developing a one-year, post-retreat plan, which we utilize to follow up with them several times during the year regarding the goals they set in conjunction with their counselor while at Alongside.

Church Assessment

Following a leader's stay at Alongside, we offer church consultations and assessments as a follow-up to help promote a healthy atmosphere for ministry. We conduct these consultations at your location with your church’s leaders and will provide objective recommendations for future ministry.

Missionary Candidate Assessment

Alongside offers missionary candidate pre-field assessments at our counseling center. We are also willing to travel to a mission board to assess candidates when there are a number of candidates to be assessed in one place at one time.

Counseling

We offer ongoing counseling for pastors or missionaries who come to any of our programs and who desire to stay longer or come back at a later time in order to pursue counseling in greater depth. We offer weekly counseling for those who are located within easy traveling distance.

Field Visits

Alongside counselors are available to visit missionaries or mission teams in their place of ministry when that is desired and our schedule allows. We are sometimes able to go to the field in an emergency or crisis situation, depending on prior commitments that have been scheduled.
